Tamer Seckin, MD, is a Board Certified gynecologist and internationally renowned specialist in minimally invasive laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. He is in private practice in New York City with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Seckin is the co-founder and medical director of the Endometriosis Foundation of America, and has dedicated his life to the understanding and treatment of this little-known disease.

Dr. Ken Sinervo, the CEC’s Medical Director & President of Kenny Sinervo, MD FCRCS LLC, is known around the world not only as a pioneering, expert endometriosis surgeon (complete CV here) but more importantly, as a humble, compassionate doctor who truly cares for all his patients. The Center for Endometriosis Care (CEC) is a COEMIG-designated center of excellence in minimally invasive gynecology and a Center of Expertise in endometriosis care and treatment. We were founded in 1991 by endometriosis pioneer and leading excision surgeon, Dr. Robert B. Albee, Jr. CEC Medical Director Dr. Ken Sinervo has served at the head of our practice since 2011.

For his outstanding contributions as the pioneer and leading practitioner in the field of minimally invasive and robotic surgery, specializing in the treatment of severe endometriosis involving multiple organs, management of infertility, myomas of the uterus, and other pelvic diseases.

Ceana Nezhat, MD is a world‐renowned gynecological surgeon and medical director of Nezhat Medical Center, specializing in minimally invasive surgical treatment of severe and multi‐organ endometriosis, infertility, and urologic and pelvic reconstruction. He has developed techniques and refined instrumentation for minimally invasive surgery for the benefit of patients globally.



Dr. Lyons is considered a surgical pioneer and has received numerous awards for his breakthroughs in gynecologic surgery since 1980. Dr. Cindy Mosbrucker is a leading endometriosis surgeon in Gig Harbor, WA. She spent 2 years working with Dr. David Redwine, the father of endometriosis excision surgery, learning the difficult but rewarding skill of surgically removing endometriosis in women. She is affiliated with PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and has been in practice for 25 years. Dr. David Olive is a world-renowned surgeon who specializes in infertility, reproductive endocrinology and minimally invasive surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in both Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. David Redwine dedicated over 30 years to developing his knowledge and expertise in the effective treatment of endometriosis. Having written extensively on the topic, lectured and performed surgeries all around the world, and having successfully treated thousands of patients who traveled from far and wide to his remote, rural practice in Bend, Oregon, he represents one of the true pioneers in the field.

Lone Hummelshoj is the Secretary General of the World Endometriosis Society (WES) and manages WES, reporting to the board of trustees. She is responsible for the implementation of WES’s strategic plan, including the world congresses on endometriosis. In addition to her duties to WES, Lone is the publisher/editor-in-chief of Endometriosis.org, which is the global forum for news and information in endometriosis.


She is also the Chief Executive of the World Endometriosis Research Foundation, an active member of the ESHRE, AAGL, and ASRM Special Interest Groups on Endometriosis, and is on the faculty of F1000 for Medicine. Emmy nominated Padma Lakshmi is known internationally as an actress, food expert, model and award-winning author.  Lakshmi recently wrapped her eleventh season as host of Bravo’s Emmy award winning “Top Chef”. 


In addition to these projects, Lakshmi co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America alongside world-renowned Advanced Gynecological Surgeon Tamer Seckin, MD. Opening up about her own harrowing journey with the little-known disease, she has brought hope to millions of women suffering in silence and made enormous strides in spreading awareness and garnering funding for research and teen health education.
